1.0 Tournament Procedure

1.1 Start-up

Join the "Join Here lobby" to participate (at the bottom of teamspeak). Put your rank in front of your name, ex: G2 Boros, S2 Ted, etc. Wait until 6 pm est when the lobby closes. The highest ranked people in the lobby will be chosen (amount based on number of attendents) and pulled into a seperate room and assigned team captains tag. The lowest rank of the members pulled will be team 1 up to the highest of however many teams there are. All of the team captains will then procede to choose their team members from the Join Here lobby. The order of pick is as follows: 1,2.3...8; 1,2,3...8; 8,7,6...1; 8,7,6...1. From there the bracket will be handed out and you are off to play! If you are staff (and are not working that night), YOU NEED TO BE ON AN INCOG IN ORDER TO PARTICIPATE!

1.2 Pre-game

When brackets are sent out, you will search for your team. The top of the two teams will be blue side and will host the game, and purple/red side will be the bottom team. Teams are sorted randomly for fairness, do not ask for bracket replacement. When creating the game in Customs, this is the format:

Summoner’s Rift

Team Size: 5

Allow Spectators: Yes

Game Type: Tournament Draft

Room Name: Example : “SG Team 1 vs Team 12”

Password: sg

Do not start the game until the team captain from each team has said ready. If either team takes more than 10 minutes to begin the game, notify a tournament organizer who will facilitate the beginning of the game. MAKE SURE the game game is in tournament draft. It is both teams responsibilities to make sure the game is in tournament draft. If the game has not reached the 5 minute mark, contact an organizer and the game may be restarted with both teams receiving a warning. If it is past 5 minutes (give an extra 10-15 seconds) then both teams will be disqualified. If the map is not correct, then do the same. (I imagine you will notice it is not on summoners rift before 5 minutes) Do not join a game 30 minutes before the tournament start because if it does not end and you get stuck in it, you can and will be removed from your team.

1.3 Pauses

Tournament Draft mode was selected was chosen so that in the case of internet connection disruption/ computer issues / etc. Do NOT pause unless you are 100% sure that there is no combat in progress. The exception to the rule being (and the only exception) is if the person who has DC from the game is directly involved in the combat. (lag does not count as a DC) Most instances will result in a 5 second peace. Refusal to stop fighting can and will lead to a DQ . Each team is allotted 10 minutes of pause time for any reason. After that 10 minute time mark you must unpause unless you are dealing with mods/organizers which then is on “Mod Time”. (Mod time is an additional 10 minutes) No team should use more than 20 minutes (10 for mod 10 for personal). If it is before 5 minutes, and the10 minute pause time has been used, you may go get a filler from an organizer. The game will be restarted with the approval of a senior organizer or higher, and the team will be given only 5 minutes of pause time so that the tournament may be restarted. Only one restart may be issued per team. Any abuse of pause can result in your team being removed from the tournament. If it is after 5 minutes (plus 10-15 secs) and your teammate has not come back, you must play on as a 4v5 until he comes back or the game is ended. (unfortunate but the tournament must go on!) The team captain must issue a ready in order for a game to be resumed (from both teams)

1.4 Fillers (Subs)

If a participant has to leave for any reason, the team captain may go get a filler, and only the team captain as other members will not be helped. If the team captain has to leave, he needs to go get a replacement for his team and the new player will become the team captain. If the team captain disconnects suddenly and does not come back, then the second highest player may go retrieve a new player after 10 minutes. You must wait 10 minutes before a filler can be gotten for your team. If the player says he has to leave then it is ok to retrieve a filler. If you are in game, and it is before 5 minutes and player is having connection issues then you may retrieve a filler an organizer can issue a game restart. No game restarts will occur if first blood has occurred UNLESS the player that died was disconnected, and evidence is shown. TL; DR: Before 5 minutes and No first blood. (with exception)

1.5 Bad Manners (BM)

Superior Gaming has very little tolerance for BM. If any sort of BM is occurring, whether it be your team or the enemy team, take screen shots or a recording to the moderators and they will handle the players. Superior Gaming takes DDoS, or Distributed Denial of Service threats very seriously. Take a screenshot of any mention of DDoS and report it to a tournament moderator rooms immediately. Disrespect of staff is not tolerated and will result in server and tournament bans. (Just don’t) If you do not agree with an organizers decision, feel free to come down to a mod room and they will contact a head organizer/events admin to discuss why the decision was made.

1.6 Reporting a Match

When a game is finished, the winning teams captain should go up to “REPORT MATCH HERE”Then the team captain should let tournament official in the “Report Match Here” channel of the teamspeak know. When the finals match / Bronze match (1-4th place matches) are won take a screenshot of the after match screen. You will also be asked to give your lolking to the organizer. Below is an example of an after match screenshot.

1.7 Communication

Here at SG we believe that communication is vital so that your team may emerge victorious. With this being said, it is mandatory to have a working mic. If it is not working then you cannot participate until you fix it. If there is feedback coming through your mic, and your team requests it, you must use push to talk so that everyone can concentrate. Refusal to do so will result in your removal from the team. Remember guys, just because you have a mic doesn’t mean you should channel your anger on the mic so follow the summoners code!
